ABOUT MIKhel
I’m a Creative Design Director specializing in womenswear, lifestyle, sport, and performance-adjacent apparel. My work sits at the intersection of product, brand storytelling, and commercial strategy, translating ideas into collections that feel emotionally resonant, visually compelling, and relevant to the market.
Over the course of my career, I’ve designed and led product across luxury, contemporary, denim, active, golf, tennis, and lifestyle categories, with experience at Perry Ellis International, Calvin Klein, Ralph Lauren, Marc Jacobs, and ViaVia. This range has shaped the way I think: creatively, commercially, and cross-functionally.
I believe great design is more than beautiful product. It is a system of choices: color, fabric, silhouette, print, trim, fit, styling, packaging, and presentation all working together to tell a clear story. My strength is building that story from concept through execution, while making sure the creative vision remains intact at every stage.
As a leader, I focus on clarity, collaboration, and creative excellence. I enjoy building strong teams, mentoring designers, developing brand worlds, and creating the structure people need to do their best work. I’ve led seasonal concepts, brand IP, visual systems, lookbooks, campaign direction, product storytelling, and cross-functional presentations that align design, marketing, sales, and merchandising teams around a shared vision.
I’m also deeply interested in how technology can expand the creative process. I’ve integrated AI tools into design workflows to improve ideation, efficiency, research, and presentation development, while keeping human taste, intuition, and product knowledge at the center.
At the heart of my work is a simple belief: design is not decoration. Design is direction. It shapes how a brand is understood, how a customer feels, and how a product earns its place in the world.
